Moxie Events and Red Maple Waters, seeks a Hospitality and Event Manager to help lead an event crew and manage our weekly events.
We are looking to hire a motivated Manager that is skilled, a self-starter, and has a positive attitude to contribute to its success! As the Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to lead and direct an event staff of 5-10 members, Make sure all on-site operations are managed in a safe and efficient manner that provides guests with a positive experience.
Duties include any of the following categories but are not limited to:
Operational Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a passion for our events by showcasing exceptional leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Manage Events and staff: Hire, train, and lead staff, including managers
- Manage budgets: Manage expenses, and price products and services
- Manage customer relations: Address customer complaints, respond to guest inquiries, and maintain a positive image for the business
- Manage operations: Coordinate reservations, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and other guest-related functions
- Manage inventory: Order supplies and manage inventory levels
- Manage compliance: Ensure the business adheres to industry regulations
- Negotiate: Negotiate with vendors and suppliers
- Manage pulling ticket statistics , P&L’s and completing show production reports
Experience Required
- Previous experience managing a fast paced event
- Minimum of two years experience in event management, project management, event planning, customer service management or related field.
- Must be comfortable in hiring and managing a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication with high-level organization skills
- Demonstrate ability and experience in coordinating teams and executing multi-faceted plans, including contingency plans
- Proven conflict resolution and professionalism skills with customers and team members
Job Requirements
- Strong communication, teambuilding, and influencing skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with high expectations
- Minimum 18 years of age or older
- Physical demands: Able to stand/walk for the duration of a 6-8 hour shift
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Able to use personal electronic devices, including a computer and cell phone to perform administrative duties
- Must be available to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays
- Have a love for leadership and producing immersive experiences!

- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Nights as needed
