Salon Assistant
Moxie Salon and Beauty Bar, an emerging and rapidly growing full-service luxury beauty salon, is seeking a passionate and talented individual to join our team as a Salon Assistant. As a Salon Assistant at Moxie, you will be responsible for providing support to our team of stylists, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our clients. Perfect role for beauty school students (must have a permit) to get started in the industry. Opportunities for promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients, answer phones, and make appointments
- Assist with retail sales, including recommending products and upselling to clients
- Assist stylists with preparing clients for services
- Process payments and cash transactions accurately
- Shampoo, condition, and mix hair color as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the salon
- Perform blowouts and other basic hair services as needed
- Support the salon team in providing exceptional client experiences
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a salon or customer service role is preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Commitment to collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills to manage appointment scheduling and maintain a tidy front desk area
- Willingness to learn and grow within the salon environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
