Join the Moyer Team! We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Assistant Service Manager to join our dynamic Service Team. This individual will play a key role in strengthening and building our service department by offering outstanding support to both our customers and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of professionalism while delivering exceptional service.
As an Assistant Service Manager, you may be wearing two hats at times helping both customers and staff. You will need to be well-versed in product offerings, inventory needs, technician scheduling and customer service. From greeting vehicle owners to working with the techs, the daily role will change. We welcome individuals who are new to the automotive industry but with previous roles in management, customer service, retail sales, restaurant industry or hospitality.

Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and assist vehicle owners, ensuring a welcoming and smooth service experience.
- Support the Service Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and technician scheduling.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product offerings and service capabilities.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure high-quality service and efficient workflow.
- Provide top-tier customer service, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Help train and guide service staff, ensuring excellent service standards are met at all times.
- Understand and comply with manufacturer’s warranty and policies
- Monitor technician’s daily productivity
- Ensure all customers vehicles receive a complimentary multi-point inspection, to be presented to all customers and maintained with repair orders to be stored
- Work closely with Parts Manager to ensure availability of essential parts, and follow up on special parts ordered
- Maintain a positive and productive environment
- Review warranty repair orders and maintain communication with Warranty Administrator to make sure we are paid in a timely manner from the factory on all work processed through warranty pay
- Work closely with other Service Managers, General Manager, Controller, and other department heads to achieve company objectives
- Provide top notch customer service and respond to all customer complaints immediately in accordance with company guidelines
- Maintain high KPI scores in accordance with factory guidelines to max out company profitability
- Maintain 24 hour follow up with all customers to confirm satisfaction
- Make sure work area and customer waiting areas are kept clean and good condition
- Ability to solve problems and have excellent communication skills
- Comply with all policies set forth in the company handbook
- Other duties may be assigned as needed based on company needs
- Oversee flow of the shop. Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
- Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
- Ensure that the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to service customers.
- Distribute work between technicians efficiently
- Provide customers and assist in maintaining a Service Loaner Fleet
