Summary: Responsible for producing clean linen, personal cloths, bibs and table cloths for residents, staff and visitors.
Reports To: Director, Facilities, Supervisor, Environmental Service & Laundry, Shift Leader, Laundry
Titles Supervised: N/A
Schedule: Part-time 22.5 hours days. Must be available to work every other weekend
Shift: 8:00am - 4:00pm 1st shift
DUTIES
Essential Responsibilities:
1.Effectively communicates issues, concerns, and suggests ideas for improving procedures, or work flow.
2.Functions as a team player being flexible with the schedule or assignments to accomplish daily production and follow safety procedures to assure a safe work environment for each employee.
3.Demonstrates technical proficiency in ability to label personal clothes and in other areas such as folding, ironing, delivery, and sorting resident clothes.
4.Receive soiled items, separate into appropriate baskets, and load correct amount into washers.
5.Remove wet wash and load correct amount into dryers.
6.Fold linen for delivery carts using correct par levels.
7.Iron sheets, table cloths as needed.
8.Separate, fold, load cart and deliver personal clothes.
9.Assist in keeping the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner by cleaning filters, floors, and machines.
10.Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Experience: 1 years related experience
Licensure: N/A
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively. Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production schedules.
