DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - Day Services
Mozaic is seeking Caregivers, Health Aides, CNAs, or Direct Support Professionals who are responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities during daytime hours, typically outside of a residential setting. The focus is often on community integration, skill development, and promoting independence. Direct Support Professionals foster positive self-esteem in individuals, whether in a habilitation setting or in the community, by consistently providing positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unwavering respect for individuals' rights.
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Duties:
Our caregivers are dedicated to empowering individuals to live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives within our community. They provide essential support with transportation, appointments, and daily activities while ensuring that care plans, medications, and guidelines are followed accurately. Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and case managers, our caregivers foster collaboration to enhance the well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. They also offer emotional support, encouragement, and advocacy to champion the rights and needs of those in their care.
Direct Support Professional Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Pay Rate: $16.75-$17.50/hr. based on experience!
Direct Support Professional Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7 am -3 pm (Hours vary with occasional evenings and weekends as needed)
