DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) - Day Services
Mozaic is seeking Caregivers, Health Aides, CNAs, or Direct Support Professionals who are responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities during daytime hours, typically outside of a residential setting. The focus is often on community integration, skill development, and promoting independence. Direct Support Professionals foster positive self-esteem in individuals, whether in a habilitation setting or in the community, by consistently providing positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unwavering respect for individuals' rights.
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Duties:
These caregivers help individuals maintain safe and healthy lifestyles within our community by assisting with transportation, attending appointments, and supporting daily living activities. They follow guidelines, administer medications, and implement care plans accurately. In collaboration with families, healthcare professionals, and case managers, they work as part of a support team to ensure the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, they provide emotional support, encouragement, and advocate for the rights and needs of those in their care.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is required. Valid Driver's License is required.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Hours:
Monday - Friday, with some planned evenings and weekends
Day Shift: 7am to 3pm but hours will vary
