Mozaic(a chapter of the Arc) is looking currently looking for a highly organized and detail oriented person to join our team as a Residential Benefits Coordinator!
Responsible for optimizing Residential Individuals' benefits and entitlements while ensuring agency compliance with OPWDD, SSA, and Medicaid regulations. This includes reporting wages to protect benefits, calculating rent, and resolving financial issues related to SSA, Medicaid, and the agency. The role also involves completing benefit paperwork such as SNAP, Disability Reports, and Medicaid renewals, as well as reviewing and processing important documents from SSA, DHS, and other agencies. Additionally, it includes establishing Representative Payee status, applying for new benefits when eligible, and ensuring proper fund management in collaboration with families, residents, the Residential team, and governing agencies.
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8 am to 4 pm; 37.5 hours per week
Location: Seneca & Cayuga Counties
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimal one-year experience with benefits such as but not limited to SSI/SSA, SNAP, Medicaid, and Waiver Services
- High School diploma.
- Computer skills; Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and writing skills and the ability to work independently.
