What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at MozzaPi?
We are looking for a Baker or Front of House member to prepare muffins, scones, coffee, and Pizza Dough. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, stretching and firing pizza crusts. While it is not necessary to have extensive baking experience to be successful in this role, you should be able to organize your work, and have a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Open the bakery early in the morning
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
- Bake different bread types like sourdough loafs , pizza dough etc (will train)
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Mix various ingredients to scones and other bakery items
- Shape pizza , fire pizza dough
- Track food supplies and place orders, as needed
- Mix doughs in mixer , follow by folding and shaping.
- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar bonus but not necessary will train
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
