Production Technician

Our company is growing, and we are in search of a quality-focused individual with a great work ethic to join our manufacturing team as a Production Technician.

What You will be Doing

As a Production Technician your responsibilities will include assembling, disassembling, soldering, brazing, testing, and inspecting small parts and components using a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment. You will read and follow detailed work instructions and keep accurate records of your work.

The Production Technician is a nonexempt hourly position and generally works 4 ten-hour days Monday - Thursday with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be required on occasion.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Soldering, brazing and assembly of small parts and components.

· Converting raw materials into sub-assemblies and/or finished goods.

· Visually inspecting materials for quality and checking assembled products to ensure they are within specification.

· Pulling and preparing component parts from inventory for assembly.

· Loading and unloading items from machines, carts, and dollies.

· Feeding or placing items onto equipment for processing.

· Reading and following assembly instructions and shop orders.

· Contributing your input and feedback to improve the production process.

· Packaging and inspecting finished goods for shipment.

· Maintaining a neat and clean work area.

· Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Assembly and soldering experience highly preferred.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions.
• Ability to perform intricate mechanical assembly.
• Ability to use hand tools (such as screwdriver, solder, etc.).
• Ability to identify and check for defects
• Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
