The Operation Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise to optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality life science products, including molecular biology, immunology, and cell biology products. This role involves developing and improving production processes, supporting production transfers, troubleshooting production issues, reducing costs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality Control (QC), Product Management (PM), Sales, and international teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement.

- Implement process improvements to reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance product consistency.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies.
- Support the transfer of production processes between facilities or to new locations.
- Ensure smooth transitions by providing technical expertise, training, and documentation.
- Address technical challenges during production transfers and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and quality defects.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Provide on-site technical support to production teams during critical issues.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure production schedules are met and products are delivered on time.
- Address technical bottlenecks that may impact production timelines.
- Provide technical input for production planning and capacity optimization.
- Define and document product parameters, including specifications, tolerances, and testing requirements for molecular biology, immunology, and cell biology products.
- Collaborate with QC and PM teams to ensure product parameters align with quality and customer requirements.
- Update product parameters as needed based on process improvements or customer feedback.
- Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Develop training materials, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions to improve team competency.
- Prepare and maintain production-related documents, including SOPs, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and quality standards.
- Provide regular reports on production performance, issue resolution, and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth production workflows and resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations department to establish safety stocks for best - selling products, thereby ensuring the seamless operation of the business.
- Work with QC to address quality issues and ensure compliance with standards.
- Partner with PM to align production processes with product requirements and customer expectations.
- Support the Sales team by providing technical information and resolving customer inquiries related to production.
- Communicate with international teams to support global production initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in production support, process engineering, or a similar role in the life sciences industry.
- Experience in troubleshooting production issues and implementing process improvements.
- Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment for molecular biology, immunology, and cell biology products.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Combination of lab and office setting.
