Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment, machinery, and property structures to ensure optimum functionality. This includes performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and install machinery and systems per safety standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Work with electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, TIG welding, and plumbing.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and follow safety policies.
- Collaborate with contractors and service providers professionally.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and food safety programs (preferred).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
- Ammonia refrigeration certification (required).
- Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to read manuals and technical documents.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., climb stairs, bend, stoop, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must maintain regular attendance and perform essential functions safely.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
