What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Dispatcher position at MP RPO?
Who are you:
The Assistant Dispatcher supports the Dispatcher and Drivers to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently with a focus on customer service.
What you will be doing:
- Finish and file delivery paperwork from previous day(s), and relay any relevant information, that the delivery teams provided to you, to the proper Manager/Salesperson
- Interact with the Sales Team throughout the day; via text, email, IM and phone regarding delivery or scheduling issues.
- Route all delivery vehicles and make confirmation calls for the following day.
- Notate pertinent information on customer invoices.
- Facilitate resolution to a problem(s), the Delivery Team may be experiencing.
- Create and post the work schedule for all Delivery and Warehouse Personnel.
- Other duties related to the position to be described when interviewed.
Our ideal candidate has:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college coursework or an associate degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of relevant experience in customer service, office administration, or a similar role preferred.
- 1 years in dispatching or control
- Proven customer service experience.
- Sounds judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive customer information and resolve escalations in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to adapt to changes in workload and schedule based on company needs.
