Tooling Coordinator
The Tool Coordinator is responsible for maintenance and repair programs related to the company’s tool assets. The primary responsibilities are to support the tool needs for various crews within the company, follow company safety programs, ensure team of employees are working safely and safety is paramount when handling tools and on job sites. The position acts as a technical advisor on all tool equipment issues and assists the management team
with tooling budgets and potential tooling purchases. The other main duties will be to help coordinate tooling and get our new “Tool Compliance Program” started and rolled out; Testing, job site swaps, audits, inventory, tooling deliveries, cleaning of tools, checking in/out, re-tool tooling trailers and conex boxes
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory controls through continuous improvement in physical inventory management and inventory tracking through software.

Help Tool Manager Develop and support tool transportation planning and improvement processes to optimize
cost and ensure consistent, world -class service and delivery. - Perform tool maintenance to ensure tools are in working order before going out to a job
- Work with the tooling crew for repairs and maintenance
- Fill daily tooling requests and returns, and control inventory to ensure timely delivery and return of tools
and materials - Manage key supplier relationships including vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issues resolution. Establish best price for purchases and rentals.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions,
improvements, and PPE needed. - Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Valid medical card required
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organization skills
- Knowledge of tool/equipment tracking software preferred.
- Knowledge of construction industry tools preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the newest technologies to expedite distribution
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload.
- Ability to perform moderate manual labor in tool handling.
- Must lift up to 50 pounds.
- Office environment requiring sitting and standing.
- Frequent time spent in office warehouse coordinating tools, exposing employee to noise and moving machinery.
- Frequent travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
