Direct Support Professional

We’re looking for a compassionate Director Support Professional to support the care of two clients with developmental disabilities in their home in Troy, Ohio.

Position Details:

• 1- Primary DSP Shift: We are hiring for a Primary DSP- the hours are full time with typical weekday shifts from 8:00am-3:00pm several days a week, with one shift that runs from 3:00-10:00pm. The Primary DSP also works on rotating weekends during the day. The Primary will also have on-call responsibilities 1 week a month.
• 2- Secondary DSP Shift: We are also hiring for a Secondary DSP- the hours are full time with typical weekday shifts from 3:00-10:00pm several days a week, with rotating weekends.
• No Behavioral Challenges
• Low Client Ratio: Only 2 client in the home!

Responsibilities:

• Daily Support: Assist clients with ADLs (personal care, meals, medication, and mobility).
• Encourage Independence: Facilitate community activities, life skills development, and personal goal achievement.
• Health and Safety: Monitor client well-being, maintain a safe environment, and follow individualized service plans (ISP).
• Documentation: Accurately document services, progress, and any incidents per agency/state guidelines.
• Build Relationships: Establish positive, supportive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
• Promote Dignity and Respect: Advocate for client rights and ensure a respectful environment in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
• Three years of experience in developmental disabilities or caregiving required
