Position Details:
- Full-Time: 1st and 2nd shifts (34-40 hours/week), and on-call responsibilities as the supervisor
- No Behavioral Challenges
- Low Client Ratio: Only 1 client in the home currently, with potential for another.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee the home staff to ensure all shifts and responsibilities are covered. Manage the home schedule and all client needs.
- Daily Support: Assist clients with ADLs (personal care, meals, medication, and mobility).
- Encourage Independence: Facilitate community activities, life skills development, and personal goal achievement.
- Health and Safety: Monitor client well-being, maintain a safe environment, and follow individualized service plans (ISP).
- Documentation: Accurately document services, progress, and any incidents per agency/state guidelines.
- Build Relationships: Establish positive, supportive relationships with clients, families, and team members.
- Promote Dignity and Respect: Advocate for client rights and ensure a respectful environment in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Three years of experience in developmental disabilities or caregiving required
