Job Description:
We are seeking a Conference Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Palm Beach team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. This position acts as liaison between the Meetings and Special Events Department and clients to ensure guests' needs are met or exceeded. This coordinator will ensure that all functions and meetings consistently represent the highest level of quality and service, as well as ensure that all areas represented by the Meeting and Special Events Department are immaculate, correct in detail and of the highest quality, with the customer's needs always on the top of mind.
This position is an AM position, and all candidates must be able to work some weekends and holidays, if needed for events. We have a full-time position available.
Work Schedule Needed: Monday - Friday | 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. | Some Saturdays will be required
Essential Qualifications:
- High school graduate, some college, or training in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to effectively communicate with proper grammar in English.
- Ability to provide legible and accurate communication.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- One year of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
- Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to create and revise banquet event orders.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals.
- Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions.
- Ability to problem solve in a professional and calm manner.
- Knows when to engage hotel departments to meet client needs in advance, in short notice and on the spot.
- Remains calm under pressure and in difficult situations.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Manages his/her time appropriately.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel information.
- Ability to work well under pressure, coordinating multiple requests at any given time.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
- In the absence of the Conference Concierge, ability to exert physical effort in setting up food tables and transporting food and beverage items.
