Job Overview:
This unique role involves hands-on maintenance work, oversight of subcontractors, and the supervision of two maintenance team members currently in training. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support two Maintenance Workers in training.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontracted maintenance and small construction projects.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of Pilot Scale R&D equipment.
- Conduct PMs across the facility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Execute minor carpentry and plumbing repairs as needed.
- Ensure all work follows safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage small capital projects from start to finish.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in one or more trades (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Steam Fitting, or Sprinkler Fitting).
- 10 years of experience in trades or industrial maintenance.
- 8 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Physical ability to work on-site and perform hands-on tasks.
Preferred:
- Completion of an apprenticeship in an MEP trade.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with CAD and/or Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of systems such as steam, compressed air, and hydraulics.

Pay: $40.00 - $41.00 per hour
