Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team for afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of payroll processes. You will be responsible for processing employee time records, calculating wages, and ensuring that payroll is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule
- Ensure accurate deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies
- Assist with tax filings and reports as needed
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some related college experience preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous payroll experience a plus, but not required
