Position Summary:
Apply electronic theory, electrical and/or electronic testing procedures and related knowledge to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production sub-assemblies. Troubleshoot systems and sub-assemblies of the systems to eliminate defects and insure units perform according to published test procedure. Operate standard test equipment to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests and adjust, calibrate, and modify circuitry and components as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test, wire, rework, repair, and modify KSI product and electronic equipment according to documentation by following detailed instructions and procedures.
- Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge process (ESD).
- Process necessary or relative paperwork i.e., data collection, inventory transfers, packing slips, etc.
- Operating a computer is an integral part of required test equipment.
- Keep work area neat, clean, and orderly.
- Perform any and all duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Equipment to be used:
Computer, soldering iron, de-soldering gun, small hand tools, basic test equipment, telephone, and personal protective equipment as required (PPE).
Typical Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision
Working Conditions:
Quiet, temperature controlled, inside manufacturing environment.
Travel:
Travel based on business need.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent with Vo-Tech certificate in Electronics Technology or related field; Associate Degree or Military Electronic Training.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as Electronic Technician.
Skills:
- Ability to perform system and/or printed circuit board level electronic repair and rework.
- Ability to read schematics, prints and other documentation.
- Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, power meters, etc.
- Ability to apply common sense, follow oral and/or written test procedures and instructions.
- Ability to perform hand soldering and de-soldering techniques.
- Ability to work with small components and small hand tools.
- Possess basic problem solving skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of to configure wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers or related equipment.
- Ability to configure wireless networking equipment used in mobile applications.
- Basic computer skills, such as Word, Excel, and other Windows based programs.
- Ability to communicate and write in a concise and professional manner.
