NOSQL DBA (Aerospike DBA)

Job Description Role: Aerospike DBA Location: Austin, TX / Dallas, TX

Salary: $90K - $110K/Annum

Job Summary
We are looking for an NOSQL DB DBA preferably Aerospike DB with 7 years of experience who has expertise in the Aerospike or other NOSQL Databases and expertise in enabling high availability, replication, Backup and Restoration, Monitoring, performance tuning, Partitions, Migrations and driving the implementation of best practices.

Technical Skills:
NoSQL DB
o Configuration, Performance Turning, Best Practice Implementation
o Good knowledge of in memory data store
o Hands on experience in cross data center replication
o Good knowledge on XDR, partitions, migrations and master-replica concepts
o Hands-on experience on sharding
o Performance fine-tuning, identify suitable indexes
o Backup and restore
o Log rotation, retention
o Capacity planning
o Hands on experience in basics of Linux commands
o Hands on experience in linux shell or python script
o Good knowledge on saltstack , Powershell and/or ansible
o Splunk - query developer, dashboard creation
o Alerting and monitoring
o Perform the standard Application DBA duties
o Own Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management & Problem Management
o Create / Maintain database applications, scripts, features, and data integration solutions, as required
o Collaborate with App developers to optimize queries, improve DB execution plans
o Performance tuning Identifying and resolve bottlenecks in database performance
o Create and update documentation
o Participate in the management and operations of MongoDB & Aerospike deployments
o Participate in and execute scheduled change management procedures
o Participate in the delivery of proactive tasks to improve the stability, performance, and fault tolerance of live environments
o Participate in capacity planning and execution of database operations
o Contribute to the development of automation and monitoring software, and other essential tools and scripts
o Resolve technical issues of projects and Explore alternate designs
o Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project.
o Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction
o Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.
