Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Payroll & Benefit Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws, and providing support in various HR functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in payroll, employee relations, and regulatory reporting, while also being familiar with systems such as Plex and Paycor. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing employee satisfaction through effective benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Ensure compliance with FMLA and other employment labor laws related to benefits.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits options and eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and assist with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development of contracts related to benefit providers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in employment laws that may affect employee benefits.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in human resources or a related field, with a focus on employee benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and systems such as Paycor.
  • Familiarity with HR management software is preferred.
  • Understanding of employment labor laws, including FMLA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous experience in training development is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,629.00 - $65,517.00 per year
