We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a pediatric hospitalist/emergency medicine physician, providing 24/7 coverage of our Family Birthing Unit and Pediatric Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:

• Coverage of the 4-bed Pediatric Emergency Department with two pediatricians per shift.
• Floor duties including attending deliveries, neonatal resuscitation & intubation, arterial puncture, lumbar puncture, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation.

Requirements:

• Board eligible or certified in pediatrics.
• Current Maryland license.
• Clean malpractice history.
• NRP/PALS certification.
• Demonstrated clinical skills including: attend deliveries, neonatal resuscitation & intubation, possibility for arterial puncture, lumbar puncture, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation.

Working Conditions:

• Shifts are in-house (12 hours) - 7a-7p or 7p-7a.
• A mix of day and night shifts, with approximately 3 shifts per week.
• No on-call requirements.

Environment:

The program provides 24/7 coverage of the Family Birthing Unit, including a Level 2 nursery and 10-bed pediatric unit. We have a high-risk delivery service for patients 32 weeks and over.

With 20 beds in the Mother-Baby Unit and 4 beds in the Pediatric ED, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Our EMR system is EPIC, ensuring seamless communication and efficient documentation.
