Role and Responsibilities
The Sr. Database Developer will be responsible for designing and building databases / data warehouses to store and manage healthcare claims and financial data. This position will analyze data, develop, test, and implement processes to load it, and assist with reporting. This person will have a strong understanding of RDBMS / Data Warehouse concepts, along with knowledge of claims or financial data.
Responsibilities : PRIMARY DUTIES
Analyze Healthcare data, architect and design data models, and create databases / data warehousesDesign and develop ETL processes necessary to load this data to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)Implement, schedule, monitor and support all related processes, applications and databasesBuild indexes and fine tune queries to ensure performance needs are metCollaborate closely with reporting team to create data mart to support reporting and analysis needsPerform advanced data analysis, identify issues and data gaps, and help provides insightsImplement and support Master Data Management processesEnsure flexibility, scalability, consistency and quality when build solutionsFollow best practices for development, QA, deployment, source code managementManage source code, conduct code reviews, and testMonitor and support processes / jobs, and follow up onCoordinate closely with other developers to streamline processes and optimizeGain strong knowledge of underlying data and business rules, and assist other teamsAdopt agile methodology, and assist in tracking and communicating progress of deliverablesQualifications :
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
5 years experience in designing / modeling, and building data warehouses and data marts5 years' experience building stored procs, tables, views, functions, in MS SQL Server2 years experience working with Healthcare claims or Financial dataDemonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies, technologies, and toolsBachelors degree or equivalent combinations of education and experienceDemonstrated ability to understand, discuss and document complex data modelsExcellent communications skills, both, written and oralAbility to manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely mannerExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsPreferred Experience
Experience working with Azure DevOpsExperience working with Azure Data Factory highly desiredExperience building Power BI Reports is a plusIND123
