Responsibilities
- Review weekly clinical reports to ensure aware of all cases where an adverse outcome occurred; these patients will be handled separately from other routine phone calls.
- Daily routine phone calls to all patients provided IOM services by NNS; routine script will be drafted and presented to employee to work identifying 3-5 basic questions to ask and document on each patient.
- Document patient feedback.
- Make detailed notes on patient's accounts after correspondence from patient, insurance, attorney, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year Medical Collections Experience
- Knowledge of CPT, and/or ICD-10
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory government provisions
- Knowledge of laws that regulates communication and privacy act. HIPAA laws
- Skill in fast data entry and accuracy.
- High level of discretional, interpersonal skills.
- Tactfulness in dealing with patients, co-workers and other professional offices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
