Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery Driver Duties
- Transporting Shipments: Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to deliver goods within the DFW area and up to 400 miles from Dallas, ensuring timely deliveries.
- White Glove Services: Handle deliveries that require special care, including using lift gates and pallet jacks for large and heavy freight.
- Route Planning and Compliance: Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules. Ensure all deliveries are accurate by verifying freight with the dispatch manifest.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, obtaining signatures and ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivery process.
Warehouse and Forklift Responsibilities
- Forklift Operation: Operate a sit-down electric forklift to load, unload, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Use barcode scanners and WMS to track inventory, perform cycle counts, and assist with inventory audits.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist with picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery.
- Warehouse Safety and Cleanliness: Follow all OSHA safety protocols for forklift operation and warehouse safety. Ensure cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
Additional Responsibilities
- Returns Processing: Ensure undelivered shipments are processed and returned to the warehouse.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle and warehouse equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- DOT Physical Examination: Must pass a DOT physical exam for the operation of company vehicles.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience driving commercial vehicles (26-foot box truck) and operating forklifts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
- Technical Skills: Experience with WMS and inventory scanning.
