Job Details
FinOps Data Engineer
Programming: Strong experience with Java (including Spring Framework) and Python for data engineering and automation.
Data Management: Hands-on experience with Snowflake, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
ETL and cs: Proven expertise in designing and managing ETL workflows and event-driven processes using tools like AWS Step Functions.
DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Cloud Cost Tools: Experience with cost management platforms like Cloudability or similar tools.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and their billing/cost management APIs.
Knowledge of FinOps principles, including cost allocation, budgeting, and optimization strategies.
3 years of experience in data engineering, cloud cost management, or FinOps-related roles.
Proven ability to process and analyze large-scale cloud usage data.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Familiarity with predictive analytic models like time-series, outlier, and forecast models
Knowledge of Public Cloud offerings, consumption models and billing concepts
Prior experience in Cloud Cost Management with knowledge in tools such as Cloudability, Spot.io, Densify, reserved.ai, etc.
