JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Representative will be vital in generating revenue by developing HDPE supply, technical service, and fusion equipment rental opportunities within an assigned territory. Schedules in-person meetings with current and potential clients. Extends business across multiple sales channels, specifically focusing on water and wastewater industries, gas distribution, environmental, mining, irrigation, and engineering/design firms. Identifies customer needs through consultation and creates sales quotes/orders to meet customer requirements. Maintains customer relationships through communication, support, and high-level customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recognize and cultivate potential sales leads from existing and prospective customers within an assigned territory.
- Develop HDPE supply opportunities within municipal water sectors, gas distribution, mining, and irrigation markets.
- Meet with current and prospective clients in-person or by telephone.
- Review, analyze, and comprehend municipal water bid packages.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our products and services and how they can benefit our customers.
- Create and implement a sales strategy based on market conditions within the assigned territory.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and symposiums targeting water, wastewater, mining, and industrial markets.
- Maintain a strong customer relationship after the sale through follow-up meetings or phone calls.
- Develop clear communication channels for new and existing customers
- Identify customer product needs and create sales quotes/orders
- Develop clear and compelling written proposals based on customer requests.
- Participate in trade shows and other industry networking opportunities
- Partner with the Regional Director of Sales regarding customer account activity, invoicing requirements, and customer feedback on products and services.
- Partner with clients, vendors, Credit, and A/R to resolve customer service issues quickly.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and experience within the water, gas distribution, mining, and irrigation markets.
- Ability to read and analyze engineering take-offs.
- Ability to prospect, develop and grow an assigned sales territory through various sales methods.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or five years of industry sales experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company insurance carrier.
- Prior working experience within the municipal and industrial sales market.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Sales Counter/Office/Client Office
- Enclosed warehouse and storage yard
- Must be able to wear required PPE as assigned by HSE Director.
- Minimum of 75% Travel required, with occasional overnight stays as business requires.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach with arms, kneel, push/pull 50 pounds, and lift 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable persons with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
SCHEDULE: Available to work during regular operating hours with the ability to work extended hours when required by the Branch Manager and Regional Director of Sales. “On Call” duties required.
