Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team at the Ford Rouge Dearborn Diversified Manufacturing Plant. This internship provides hands-on experience in operations and environmental management within a manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with the team to assist in various tasks related to shipment oversight, waste management, compliance, and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities such as shipment oversight and manifesting
• Manage paperwork and documentation
• Conduct weekly and monthly inspections
• Review waste profiles and ensure compliance with regulations
• Support the waste management hierarchy and recycling program revamp
• Monitor and track the oily absorbents rewash program
• Update recycling stations to encourage waste segregation
• Explore recycling options for onsite plastics
