Job Description
JOB FUNCTION :
Journeyman mechanics have the skills and training necessary to perform repair and maintenance procedures. Monitors in-house / contracted repairs, and complete repairs without supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Performs PM, Post Trip, and Annual Vehicle Inspections.
2. Perform Vehicle Diagnostic, utilizing diagnostic software, and Troubleshooting.
3. Repairs and replaces tires, clutches, and brakes.
4. Perform complete engine overhaul.
5. Completes differential, transmission, and driveline repairs.
6. Repair and replacement of any bolt on item.
7. Complete inspection and repair of all special equipment.
8. Major automotive electrical repair.
9. Performs mentorship / training and monitors in-house / contracted services.
10. May be required to work temporarily at branch / customer locations maintaining / repairing equipment.
11. Administrative Duty's : Computer Skills
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Travel to branch locations and customer sites as needed.
- Position must be able interact with operations, logistics, and production teams and provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Must be able to determine how to repair equipment in the most effective manner.
- Must determine safest method of performing job.

Required Experience
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Diesel Technology Degree or Certified Diesel Technician and 6-8 years of commercial fleet experience.
2. 8 or more years of fleet diesel experience preferred.
3. Must have effective oral and written communications skills, effective listening skills, and ability to interact with others.
4. Mack Diesel Truck experience preferred.
5. Commercial Driver's License preferred.
