What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydro Excavator Operator B position at MPW?
JOB FUNCTION:
The Hydro Excavator Operator is responsible for servicing multiple clients with the safe excavation of utilities and other underground obstacles. The operator will do this with the use of a truck mounted Vacuum along with pressurized water. The operator must also operate the truck within DOT regulations and in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Must be able to operate a class B truck with tanker endorsement.
2. Must have an acceptable driving record.
3. Must be able to communicate and interact with customers.
4. Know your way around a job site.
5. Have knowledge of utility markings.
6. Needs to be able to stand for long periods of time.
7. Needs to be able to lift 50lbs
8. Flexibility in schedule.
9. A good attitude and willing to adapt.
10. Needs to understand the importance of and provide a premier service to the customer.
11. Have knowledge of simple mechanics.
12. Must be safety conscious.
13. Read a tape measure and simple math.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement.
2. Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holiday as necessary and in a non-traditional setting with some travel.
3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
4. Must maintain a Medical Card.
