What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Technician I position at MPW?
JOB FUNCTION:
The purpose of this position is to load/unload equipment, and to stock and maintain warehouse inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Load/unload equipment.
2. Move equipment to warehouse storage.
3. Operate forklift.
4. Provides “hands on” support for Hebron operations as well as corporate inventory.
5. Assures repairs are made properly and on a timely basis.
6. Clean and maintain work area in the warehouse.
7. Inputs data into JD Edwards inventory system.
8. Performs other duties as directed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Unexpected needs of operations-secures needed material.
2. Poor communication from operations- initiates telephone calls, etc.
3. Turnover (high level) continues to search for qualified personnel.
4. Operation of warehouse is 24 hours per day.
5. Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of warehouse procedures, mechanical equipment, and inventory processes.
3. Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication preferred.
4. Forklift certification.
5. 1-2 years warehouse operation experience.
6. Ability to lift heavy equipment.
7. Must be willing to travel as necessary
