Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, particularly in ammonia refrigeration, and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to maintain and repair various refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to property maintenance and the ability to read schematics for effective troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, focusing on ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Conduct inspections of refrigeration units and air conditioning systems for efficiency and safety.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address any related issues.
• Operate company vehicles as needed for service calls and repairs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role in HVAC.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driving experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems and property maintenance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.93 - $32.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Nights as needed
• On call
• Overtime
