Service Technician Assistant Position Available

We are looking for a Service Technician Assistant to work alongside our Service Technicians to complete quality repairs, remodeling, and home improvement projects. Technician Assistants expand their carpentry experience and gain knowledge of valuable skilled trades.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person as we are offering on the job training with regular pay reviews and increases commensurate with your skill and project management development. Ideally, you have already acquired some construction industry experience and have proven communication skills. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can comprehend and develop new skills quickly.

Specific Responsibilities :

Assist in completing small to medium home repair and improvement projects including doors, windows, decks, fences, steps, siding, soffit and fascia, power washing, staining, painting, gutters, caulking, etc.
Assist in completing carpentry and maintenance projects including cabinetry, counter tops, shelving, drywall repair, flooring, trim, tile, etc.
Work along side seasoned professionals performing small to medium sized bath, kitchen and basement remodels. Learn and develop basic framing, electric and plumbing skills.
Help ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment
Help keep company vehicles and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Job Requirements :

At least 21 years old and mature enough to have acquired industry experience

Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation

Flexibility with hours (full-time or part-time basis)

Physically capable of laborer duties, lifting heavy objects, etc.

Proficiency to navigate computer tablets and smart phones in order to work with digital work orders, take pictures and keep notes

Team player who can work your own independently from time to time (efficient material runs, replenishing stock, servicing equipment, etc.)

Basic Set of Carpentry Hand & Power Tools (Cordless Drill / Driver, Circular Saw, Hammer, Tape Measure, Pliers, Utility Knife, Speed Square, Flat Bar, Socket Set, Adjustable Wrenches, Safety Goggles, Gloves, Flashlight, Etc.)

Preferred Skills / Abilities :

Ability to recognize maintenance and repair items and pick up supplies as quickly as possible when needed from supply and equipment stores.

Willingness to learn new job skills and take on new responsibilities

Ability to work closely with skilled tradesmen on a professional level, keeping safety as priority while working towards maximum efficiency through focused attention and synchronization.
