We are working with a Mechanical Contractor in the Baltimore area that is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Project Manager with mechanical construction experience. This is a permanent, on-site position with minimal travel. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer working with commercial HVAC, plumbing and piping new build, retrofit and service projects in support of the project managers.
Job responsibilities :
- Work directly with RFI’s and Submittals and related documentation.
- Assist in managing and supervising all phases of assigned projects.
- Assist in preparing and managing schedules.
- Assist in negotiating all change orders and maintain change order logs.
- Assist in managing project budget and approves all expenses.
- Assist in Buyout of subcontracts & equipment.
- Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
- Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.
- Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
