Your Role in Our Success
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. You will need to bring advanced Excel skills and strong SAP expertise to analyze financial data, manage variances, and provide strategic insights to leadership.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the monthly and annual financial close process, working closely with the Director of Finance and President
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, production P&L, and cost reports for executive leadership
- Conduct customer margin reviews and provide pricing insights to Sales & Product Development teams
- Perform ROI calculations for CAPEX investments and maintain Fixed Asset Roll Forward reports
- Calculate and report production and cost variances, providing insights for decision-making
- Manage the standard costing system, ensuring accurate cost allocation
- Support budgeting processes, including cost center analysis and standard cost calculations
- Oversee E&O (Excess & Obsolete) reserve balances and recommend inventory management strategies
- Lead cost accounting entries and overhead allocation processes
- Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Review daily production and price variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in preparing audit support for external auditors
- Work closely with the Parent Company in Germany on strategic financial initiatives
- Recommend process improvements to optimize financial workflows and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Operations, to drive financial accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a controlling
- SAP experience is mandatory
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling, and data visualization)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
