Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you'll perform general and preventative maintenance to ensure our structures, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, machinery, heating/AC systems, and plumbing operate smoothly. Your expertise will help us minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
What You Will Do
- Ensure machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
- Diagnose faults and undertake planned maintenance
- Establish and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
- Train staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Respond to major equipment breakdowns
- Perform routine maintenance inspections
- Troubleshoot equipment, machinery, and systems when they fail to operate
- Take responsibility for repairing equipment, machinery, and systems
- Remove obsolete or irreparable equipment or machinery
- Install new equipment or machinery
- Purchase components, fixtures, and other supplies as necessary
- Develop and document maintenance procedures and strategies
- HS Diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role
- Experience servicing mechanical equipment with knowledge of electrical properties
- Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out Procedures
- Committed to safety. Knowledge of OSHA requirements is desirable
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, drawings, and terminology
- Excellent mathematical, verbal, and analytical skills
- Forklift license, or the ability to obtain one
- Strong communication skills, able to engage with diverse audiences from staff to executive levels
- Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and communicate with all levels of the production organization
- Professional written and verbal communication with outside vendors and staff
- Knowledge and experience working with boiler and steam systems
