As a Project Manager / Estimator,
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial glazing projects, including materials, labor, and other project expenses
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, and engineers to gather project specifications and requirements
- Review project plans and drawings to determine the scope of work and identify potential issues or challenges
- Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
- Create project schedules and timelines, and manage project progress to meet deadlines
- Monitor project budgets and make necessary adjustments to ensure projects stay within budget
- Oversee project quality control and ensure work is completed to company and industry standards
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related paperwork
- Conduct site visits as needed to ensure work is being completed according to plans and specifications
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular reports to company management on project status and progress
- 5 years of experience in estimating and project management in commercial glazing
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- Extensive knowledge of commercial glazing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Strong understanding of construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
