What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at MRA Recruiting Services?
- Receive incoming shipments by unloading vehicles and accepting deliveries.
- Inspect items for damage and verify item counts against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Route or deliver items to the appropriate department.
- Document and record received items with identifying information.
- Handle damaged goods by notifying shippers, returning items, and requesting replacements or credits.
- Prepare outbound shipments by determining destination, route, rate, and timing.
- Receive and process credit-return materials from production into inventory.
- Maintain a well-organized receiving area and contribute to overall department success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compare shipping documents to received inventory.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
