The Service Manager role requires one to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate their ability to balance the needs of customers and local authorities to ensure customer satisfaction.

The Service Manager will oversee the suppression and service teams to ensure efficient, timely, quality service, installations, and inspections for our customers. Local travel within the southeast WI area is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Service and Suppression Team resource levels, including hiring, training, and competency management.
• Ensure service work is completed promptly and follow up with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Track service, installation, and inspection documentation in ServiceTrade and Inspect Point
• Generate, cultivate, and acquire service sales and new leads while maintaining current customer accounts
• Provide detailed estimates for service/inspection work and manage new contracts
• Oversee the sales team job quotes while managing budgets for multiple fire protection projects
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with owners, general and sub-contractors, engineers, and designers throughout the Service process
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the timely execution of inspections (5-year, quarterly, and annual).
• Assist Service and Inspection Coordinators when needed
• Manage the field/team of 25-30 staff and provide hands-on field service support as business needs dictate
• Invoice creation, review and submitting to customers
• Review completed Time & Material work orders at a high level
• Oversee and manage all service customer accounts
• Respond to technical questions from customers and the field team while leveraging industry expertise to provide timely solutions
  
  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Service Manager will manage all service center office staff and the field service team by doing the following:

• Execute HR processes in cooperation with the HR Department and the employee handbook
• Ensure all direct reports are efficiently trained in all aspects of the job and safety protocols
• Facilitate continuous development programs that enhance all areas of responsibility
• Create an environment that promotes high job satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 10 years of experience in installation, service, and/or inspection of water-based fire sprinkler systems
• Solid knowledge of pre-engineered systems, extinguishers, and fire control panels is preferred
• 5 plus years of experience in fire sprinkler sales and/or service is required
• 2 or more years of experience in direct profit and loss responsibility, process management, and/or service sales, preferred
• Experience with estimating, creating, and managing budgets for multiple contracts/projects is required
• Working knowledge of Service Trade, or similar software
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel software
• Sprinkler design background is a plus but not required; AutoCAD, NICET, AutoSprink by MEPCAD
• A valid and in good standing Driver’s License is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S
