This position can be at our Brookfield, WI, or Lake Villa, IL office.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and critique technical specifications of all structural plans and designs
- Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental and / or human factors
- Analyze various materials based on structural specifications recommending the most effective method
- Create structural models by using computer-aided design software
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and government agencies regarding construction
- Ensure building and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes
- Communicate with clients throughout the project process and beyond to foster current and ongoing business relationships
- Adhere to project deadlines and budgets, communicating any variances to the Project Manager promptly
