Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and project analysis. This role will play a critical part in supporting our commercial site development projects and ensuring accuracy in project budgeting and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects to include DOT, Bridge, and commercial land and site construction projects, including complete site work, underground utilities, fire lines, and erosion control.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed and competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather the necessary information and validate cost projections.
- Review bid proposals, scope, and pricing for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Stay updated on local construction standards, materials, and labor costs in Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando.
- Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to clients, ensuring clear communication of scope and costs.
- Track project costs and compare estimates with actual expenditures to improve future estimating accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Construction estimating in heavy civil construction.
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and earthwork principles.
- Familiarity with local building codes and requirements in Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with construction management software is a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
