Position Summary:
The Traveling Assistant Property Manager’s for several communities oversees the daily operations and maintenance of multiple properties within a portfolio, managing tenant relations, rent collection, property maintenance, and overall financial performance across all sites, often requiring significant travel between locations to ensure consistent standards are upheld across each property.
Primary responsibility is to assist the Property Manager in all areas of operation including office administration, financial, safety, employee management, marketing, leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
Responsibilities:
- Managing tenant relations, including addressing complaints, resolving disputes, and enforcing lease agreements across multiple properties.
- Overseeing rent collection and ensuring timely payments.
- Marketing vacant units and tenant screening processes.
- Monitor purchase orders to maintain budget control.
- Staff Supervision:
- Delegating tasks and ensuring consistent service standards across the portfolio.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly communicating with regional manager, tenants, and vendors.
- Providing detailed reports on property performance and key metrics to senior management.
- Experience in property management, preferably managing multiple properties.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of on-site property managers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and regional manager.
- Proficiency in property management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to travel extensively between different property locations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· 1 year of on-site property management or training preferred.
· Solid written and oral communication skills.
· Proven organizational and time-management capabilities.
· Fundamental computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, Yardi Voyager, and Rent Café preferred.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Able and eager to embody MRD Apartments Core Values daily.
