We are seeking a skilled Licensed Psychologist to perform comprehensive medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Description
In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and conduct in-person assessments on each Veteran. You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
This position involves reviewing and assessing 4 Veterans per day on average, with no responsibility for making disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
You will NOT treat patients or prescribe medication in this position, as your focus is solely on performing Disability Assessments.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
