About the Role
At MRG Exams, we are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to perform comprehensive disability assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's benefits process.
This is an in-person position requiring daily review of behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and performance of assessments on each Veteran. The successful candidate will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the portal.
The Licensed Psychologist will work independently, reviewing and assessing 4 Veterans per day. They will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, documenting findings, and providing recommendations to support disability determinations made by the U.S. Veterans Administration.
A key aspect of this role is that it does not involve treatment or prescription of medication. The focus is solely on performing assessments and completing DBQs to support the VA's decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of Veterans' mental health and well-being.
- Review electronic medical records and complete DBQs through the web portal.
- Work with Veterans to understand their needs and circumstances.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of assessment findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
