Audiologist Assessment Role
We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The Veteran files a claim prior to their appointment, and all relevant medical records are uploaded into a computer portal for review during the assessment.
Responsibilities include conducting Maryland CNC Tests and Puretone Audiometric tests, as well as completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in the computer portal.
This medical evidence is crucial in determining the veteran's benefits.
Audiologists will not prescribe any medical treatments or devices.
This role involves reviewing and assessing 3-6 veterans per day, on average.
Schedule: Part-time, working 2 days per week.
This is an in-person position offering:
- 1 hour to 1 hour & 30 minutes per patient
- No evenings, no on-call, no weekends, no hearing aid sales
Requirements
- Auditory Degree from an ASHA Accredited school
- Current Audiologist license
- Credentialing requirements met as set forth by the VA
