Role Overview
We are seeking a licensed behavioral health specialist to perform comprehensive medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
- You will be responsible for reviewing behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and performing in-person assessments on each Veteran.
- As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
Description
This role is focused solely on performing disability assessments on Veterans. You will not treat patients or prescribe medication.
You will review and assess 4 Veterans per day on average.
This is an IN-PERSON position requiring part-time commitment with additional telehealth options available.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license.
- Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Work Environment
This role requires regular travel to various locations to conduct in-person assessments.
