About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans. This vital role is part of the VA's disability benefits process.
As a Clinical Health Specialist, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. Your expertise will be utilized to assess the health and well-being of these individuals, providing essential information for disability determinations.
This position does not involve making disability determinations; rather, it focuses on performing Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat or prescribe medication in this capacity.
The average number of Veterans assessed per day is 3-5, and your schedule will be set to normal business hours with no on-call requirements. You will work one day per week (Tues or Thurs), ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
