Description:
We are seeking a licensed psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. As a licensed psychologist, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and conduct comprehensive in-person assessments on each veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. The licensed psychologist does not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This role involves performing Disability Assessments exclusively on veterans. You will not provide treatment or prescribe medication in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess 4 veterans per day on average
- Conduct comprehensive in-person assessments on each veteran
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology is required; Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school is preferred
- Active and unrestricted psychology license
- Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
