Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Description
This role involves reviewing behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and conducting comprehensive in-person assessments for each Veteran.
Additionally, you will complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal. It is essential to note that the Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; rather, the U.S. Veterans Administration makes these decisions based on findings recorded in the DBQs.
This position requires an IN-PERSON approach and does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA must be met
