Job Overview
We seek a skilled and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans.
This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal.
Main Responsibilities
- Medical Record Review: Analyze comprehensive medical records via a secure web portal to gather relevant information.
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough, non-treating evaluations of veterans to document current health conditions.
- Disability Benefits Questionnaires: Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
- Timely Submissions: Ensure that all DBQs are submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
- Assessment Volume: Average up to four veterans daily.
Work Schedule
We require one day every other week, one day per month, or two half days per month from our PM&R Physicians.

Requirements

- Certification: Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.
